Easter Weekend With Hamlet

He immediately came and sat next to me and put his little head in my hand, this little yellow lab. He sat peacefully next to me the whole time we were there visiting the litter of puppies.  We knew we wanted a little yellow lab.  And he knew he wanted us.

We picked up Hamlet the day after the kids left on their Spring vacation.  A week to transition the little guy into his new household.  Some sleepless nights and a lot of puppy naps later and the weekend was here.  Time to meet the rest of the family.  We thought for sure little niece, Tula, would be into Hamlet.
But, no, she spent more time doing this.

But she did try a little.  I think she'll come around.  Wouldn't you?

They actually did have common goals. They both wanted to play in the dirt as much as possible.

Hamlet seemed to enjoy the Easter festivities.

And I think the kids enjoyed their Easter gift.  Here is a video of them meeting Hamlet.

Emma said it was really nice to return from vacation and have a new member of the family.  I agree.

Happy Easter from Driftless Wisconsin.
