3rd Annual Apostle Islands Trip

It wouldn't be hard to beat the last two Apostle Islands trips with my husband...the first time it rained so hard, we didn't even take the kayaks off of the van.  The second year, we were kayaking in a storm with waves so big, our kayaks were smacking and shivering and beating their way to the shore.  This year, calm waters and sunny skies.

I still had my anxieties.  I'm a beginning kayaker so Lake Superior scares me every time.  But the benefits and beauty are so great and so giving.

The Sea Caves

We spent quite awhile at the Sand Island Sea Caves and I had to try out my new HD camera/video cam.

And York Island was quiet and lovely.  We played a lot of scrabble and drank wine through a rain storm, ate a great dinner and just lounged.
