Brewers Fever at Miller Park

We packed up the car with drinks, brats, camp chairs and headed off for Miller Park.  Many snacks, video games and traffic jams later, we arrived....with 42,000 other people.  I'm kind of glad we were late because we walked in and missed the mob scene at the entrance.

I didn't know there was such as a thing as standing room only at a baseball game, but this was the case at Miller Park.  There were throngs of people covering every inch of space on this sweaty Thursday. We sat in the bleacher seats...whole different kind of crowd in these here parts.  There was a guy next to us that was "entertaining" everyone with cartoon-sounding belches.  I'm surprised flames didn't come out of his mouth.

But we were right behind left field and oh so close to Ryan Braun.  My stepdaughter is a huge Ryan fan.  She is a committed tomboy but when I gushed over him and aimed my camera his way, I think she actually looked bashful...or embarrassed of my overt display of affection, not sure which one.

There wasn't much action on the field though.  The only exciting thing that happened at this game was the Sausage Race.

So the Brat was like the Roadrunner.  He started booking it and was way ahead of the other weenies.  I've never seen any of them actually display running talent until this race.

Oh yeah, the other fun thing at the game.  Icy cold margaritas to help cool us down.

The kiddos drank their weight in sugary drinks and tried to remain patient during a boring game with the Brewers scoring 1 run (1-5, Dodgers).

Brewers swag!  Their favorite part of the game.  My husband says we'll be back in October.
