It started with pumpkins. The kiddos had been asking to carve pumpkins for weeks. So we finally got out to Bauer's Market in La Crescent, MN...love that place. The kids picked the biggest, heaviest pumpkins they could find. I have to just comment on the pumpkins for a moment. Why does everything have to be so big? Big food, big cars, big houses, now pumpkins have to be big to be worthy too? Just my observation. Anyway, so the carving commenced. They were pretty dedicated to the carving too. I pretty much just took pictures but the craft mood was settling in on me.
Had to pick up caramel at Bauer's as well. Yum.
Roasted pumpkin seeds. My, my these were tasty.
Leaves from the yard glued onto a glass candle-holder with white tissue paper glued over the top.
Plastic pumpkin painted black with foam wings glued onto the sides (toothpicks glued to back of wings).
